Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TeleNav handles information through the website and Android app. TeleNav is designed for private, local-first use with encrypted storage through your own Telegram account.
1. Overview
TeleNav is a private Android app and website operated by Navneet Kumar Yadav (Assist Group). In this policy, "TeleNav", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the TeleNav app, website, and operator.
The app is intended to let you use your own Telegram account as encrypted personal cloud storage. TeleNav does not run a public storage backend, advertising network, analytics service, or user account database for your files.
TeleNav is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Telegram. Telegram services are provided by Telegram under Telegram's own terms and privacy policy.
2. Information We May Handle

3. Your Files and Metadata
TeleNav is designed to encrypt file content and metadata locally before upload. Metadata can include original filename, MIME type, original size, timestamps, content hash, and folder information. Encrypted chunks and encrypted manifests are then uploaded through your Telegram account.
We do not have a TeleNav cloud account that lets us view, download, recover, moderate, or delete your private files. Your ability to access files depends on your device, vault password or recovery kit, Telegram account, Telegram availability, and the app functioning correctly.
4. App Permissions
The Android app may request permissions needed for its features, including internet access, biometric unlock, foreground data sync, notifications, and file sharing through Android's file provider. These permissions are used to operate uploads, downloads, authentication, notifications, and local file workflows.
Biometric authentication is handled by Android. TeleNav does not receive your fingerprint or face biometric template.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app. We may share limited information only when necessary for the following purposes:
- With service providers that host the website, deliver email, or help us respond to support requests.
- With Telegram when you choose to connect and use your Telegram account through the app.
- When required by law, legal process, safety obligations, or to protect rights, users, and the service.
6. Retention
App data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, clear Android app storage, uninstall the app, or delete related Telegram messages from your own Telegram account. Encrypted chunks and manifests in Telegram remain under your Telegram account control unless you delete them there.
Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle your request, maintain records, resolve disputes, improve safety, or comply with legal obligations.
7. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information that we control. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or complain to a data protection authority.
Because TeleNav does not operate a file storage backend, many app deletion actions must be performed by you on your device and inside your Telegram account. See the Data Deletion page for practical steps.
8. Children
TeleNav is not intended for children under 18. Do not use TeleNav if you are under 18 unless a parent or legal guardian has reviewed the app, accepted responsibility for the use, and the use is allowed by applicable law.
9. Security
TeleNav is designed with local encryption, Android Keystore-backed key wrapping, vault authentication, and encrypted Telegram uploads. No security design is perfect. A compromised phone, weak password, malicious keyboard, screen recorder, rooted device, leaked recovery kit, or Telegram account issue can defeat protections.
You are responsible for keeping your device, vault password, recovery kit, Telegram account, API credentials, and exported files secure.
10. International Processing
The website, support email, Telegram services, and hosting providers may process information in countries other than where you live. By using TeleNav, you understand that information may be processed where those providers operate, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, website, laws, or business practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new effective or last updated date.
